Bluthner Upright Hammer Recentering and Bass Restring
Restoration of Bluthner Upright at Bedhampton Pianoshop. Loose centre pins are replaced to ensure silent and precise hammer travel, and old butt springs are removed in preparation for fitting of a brand new set. Having replaced the steel treble strings, a made-to-measure set of copper wound bass strings are fitted to complete the restring.

Restoration of Bluthner upright at Bedhampton Pianoshop. Key buffing cleans off all the dirt and residue from years of playing, to make sure the ivories are smooth to the touch and pleasing to the eye.
Preparing Bluthner Upright Piano Keybed
Restoration of Bluthner upright at Bedhampton Pianoshop. Old backtouch felt, which is torn and worn away, is removed from the keybed ready for a new piece to be fitted. New felt balance rail washers ensure that the keys can be accurately levelled, as well as preventing unwanted noise.
