Marshall & Rose Piano

Marshall and Rose Before Marshall and Rose After This rosewood piano went through the full repolishing process. On arrival at the shop the case was considerably worn and marked, and very much in need of some attention. The satin finish flatters the piano and brings the case back to life.

Steck Grand Piano

Steck Before Steck After This Steck grand piano also underwent a full case restoration. The original polish was dull, with surface cracks, scratches and dents. A total strip down and repolish in a satin mahogany finish brings out the beauty of the wood.

Kaps Upright Piano

Kaps Before Kaps After Another example of how repolishing can transform a piano. Once again, the old polish does nothing to fulfil the potential of this Kaps piano. The new finish brings out the colour and grain of the wood, set off perfectly by the brass inlay.

Grand Piano Frame

Frame Before Frame After This shows the results of a repolished soundboard and resprayed frame. Before restoration, the gold paint has faded, and dirt is ingrained in all the parts. The frame is totally removed and resprayed, whilst the soundboard is repaired, sanded and repolished.

Piano Action

Action Before Action After These pictures show some of the work done to an upright action. The action has been cleaned out, including the polished brass hammer rest rail. The hammers, damper felts and return tapes have all been renewed, careful measurements of the old parts having first been taken.

Pins and Frame

Pins Before Action After These pictures show in detail the complete restoration of a grand piano frame. The frame itself has been resprayed, and new felt attached. The piano has also been given brand new strings and tuning pins. Even the frame bolts have been polished up to complete the job.
